OVERVIEW:
Role Overview:
This position is ideal for a junior to mid-level attorney (3-5+ years) looking to join a growing and dynamic in-house legal team and be involved in various types of legal work, including contract negotiation and drafting, providing practical advice to clients and legal analysis. Supports technology-focused agreements across various business units which may include: finance, merchandising, supply chain, loss prevention, product development, strategy, store operations, facilities in partnership with the finance/procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technology and the skill set to support the digital growth of the Company.
Role Responsibilities:
Contract Negotiation and Drafting: Related to technology-focused initiatives (e.g., commercial, consulting, vendor agreements, licenses, SaaS agreements, and statements of work, etc.)
Outside Counsel Interaction: Partners with outside counsel to establish course of action in important matters including commercial matters including vendor disputes.
Department Operations: Participates and assists in projects. Supports and pitches in on department initiatives. Works with, oversees and assists Legal Analysts with respect to legal issues and drafting.
Knowledge of and interest in technology and basic accounting and finance. Considers financial impact when making decisions. Understands responsibilities with respect to loss contingencies. Collaborate with Legal team and cross-functional partners to support the procurement and use of emerging technology (including AI).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced Degree
JD Degree
3-5 years of experience
Experience practicing law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
