As the Digital Product Owner, you will help shape and deliver the Payment Transformation initiative to transform how card payments are made by Jetstar customers. The Payment Transformation project will make security and technology resilience improvements to how we process card payments, as well as improving and developing new customer experiences.

This project spans all Jetstar digital points of sale, channels and flows, and you will work with internal and external teams to manage the delivery in line with the business case. You will work closely with the Payment Transformation squad, I.T., Finance and Legal teams as well as third party payment providers to deliver project outcomes on time and on budget.

Your main accountabilities will include:

  • Define and execute on the product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities with the Digital squad for the project.
  • Provide vision and direction to the Agile development teams and stakeholders throughout and use this ability to help formulate requirements.
  • Complete product discovery, plan, prioritise and manage the product feature backlog while ensuring smooth delivery of product enhancements.
  • Collate data paired with user feedback to find opportunities and produce features which enhance the customer experience, meets KPIs and aligns to the products vision and strategy.
  • Help lead the product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
  • Monitor industry, technology and innovation trends to ensure the digital product/web enhancements are best in class.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Digital Product Owner, Agile Project Manager, or similar role within a Digital environment.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or similar relevant field.
  • Knowledge of Payments technology and processes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile process and principles and experience working Scrum.
  • Excellent influence, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Creative thinker able to approach product from a both strategic and tactical view, keeping the customer front of mind.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams towards our product vision.
  • Scrum product owner certification or similar highly regarded.
