Job Description

We are excited to offer a highly sought-after Dietitian opportunity within our Allied Health team at Epworth!

Epworth Freemasons is seeking a passionate and motivated Grade 2 Dietitian to join our Allied Health team in a fixed-term position (.2 EFT) through to 18 December 2026. This role also offers opportunities to pick up additional  shifts during the contract period, with the potential for ongoing casual employment beyond the fixed-term contract, subject to operational requirements. The successful candidate will ideally be available to work Fridays. 

Reporting to the Dietitian Team Lead, you will join a close-knit and highly regarded Dietetics team that values collaboration, innovation and clinical excellence. Your ability to build strong relationships with patients, families and colleagues, combined with your excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills, will see you thrive in this role.

You will make an impact by:

  • Promoting and providing dietetic and nutritional intervention across a range of inpatient wards, including oncology, surgical, general medicine and intensive care unit
  • Providing evidence-based nutrition intervention to ambulatory oncology patients
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-centred care and support positive clinical outcomes
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, service development activities and the ongoing pursuit of clinical excellence
  • Demonstrating compassion, empathy and professionalism while encouraging patients and their families to actively participate in all stages of care

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience working in an acute healthcare setting (minimum 5 years)
  • Experience in Oncology and ICU (essential)
  • A strong commitment to evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary care
  • Exceptional patient-focus with a passion for delivering outstanding patient experiences and outcomes
  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal, organisational and time-management skills
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders across a range of clinical settings
  • A quality and risk-focused approach to clinical practice, decision-making and patient care
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare environment
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
  • Availability to work Fridays (highly desirable)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor / Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
  • Eligibility for full membership with Dietitians Association Australia
  • Eligible for the APD program
