We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to join our Bunnings Security team.

As a Cyber Security Architect at Bunnings, you'll play a key role in designing secure, scalable solutions that protect our customers, team members and technology ecosystem. Working across cloud, infrastructure, applications, identity and security platforms, you'll influence strategic technology decisions while helping build security into everything we do.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Design and review secure technology solutions across a diverse and evolving digital environment.
  • Partner with project and technology teams to embed security-by-design principles into new initiatives.
  • Assess cyber security risks, identify vulnerabilities and help shape practical solutions that balance security and business needs.
  • Influence and contribute to cyber security strategy, architecture standards and capability roadmaps.
  • Provide expert guidance on modern security controls, identity solutions, cloud security and risk management practices.
  • Support the development of security governance practices and help build cyber awareness across technology teams.
  • Stay across emerging threats, technologies and industry trends, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to the team.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors and industry peers to strengthen security outcomes and share insights.
 About You

You'll bring a strategic mindset and enjoy looking at the bigger picture while understanding how security decisions impact broader business outcomes. You're naturally curious, enjoy solving complex problems and can communicate technical concepts in a clear and practical way.

 What you'll need
  • 5+ years' experience working in cyber security or information security
  • 2+ years' experience working in cyber security architecture roles
  • Proven Security Architecture delivery experience at enterprise level
  • Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, controls and risk management practices.
  • Demonstrated experience to influence architectural strategy and roadmap direction
  • Experience across areas such as cloud security, identity and access management, SIEM, endpoint security, vulnerability management, network security and application security.
  • Knowledge of security architecture principles and secure solution design.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements, including privacy and data protection standards.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience translating business requirements into practical and secure technology solutions.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
