About the role:
We are looking for an organised and passionate Customer Data Lead to join our Data and Analytics Team.
Reporting to the Data Governance Manager, this role will support the establishment and implementation of a Customer Data Governance framework across the primary focus areas of master data, data quality, standards and procedures.
What’s involved:
Support with establishment of the customer data and consent program including CRM & CDP, drive definition of the data model and structures within the new platform alongside data & analytics, technology, architecture and marketing.
Establish and chair the customer data stewards committee to drive implementation of data definition, data quality and data standards.
Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure customer data management and governance procedures are followed, emphasizing the importance of high-quality customer data for business decisions.
Create and manage core metadata to document data dictionaries, relationships, mappings, and data lineage as set forth in standards. Drives resolution of source, definition, naming, and business rule conflicts among consuming applications.
Monitor data quality, identify issues and trends, oversee remediation plans, implement data controls, and manage data quality remediation strategies with key stakeholders.
Define and improve processes for managing data along its lifecycle; operationalise data management and governance activities. Focus on sourcing and quality of critical data as well as identification and protection of sensitive data.
Who we’re looking for:
You will have had success in a similar role requiring strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, you will have a solid understanding of the change process, and program management skills.
Bringing your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will be a collaborative team player who can innovatively solve problems and identify the root cause. You will be organised, able to work in ambiguous situations and can influence others while maintaining strong relationships.
You’ll need:
Tertiary Qualification, preferably in disciplines such as IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or Business Administration
Demonstrated experience in similar or related role
Experience in a large organisation, with significant data assets within a sophisticated technical environment
Experience working with Data and Analytics teams preferred
