About this role
As the Core Applications Support Analyst, you will provide production support, maintenance, analysis and subject matter expertise for Core Business Applications.
You will work closely with the Application Support Manager, Application Product Manager, and IT departments to perform root cause analysis and resolve production support issues, identify and understand areas for continuous improvement, assist in the delivery of application fixes and updates, and ongoing maintenance of applications, ensuring alignment with business strategies.
Deliver end-to-end application support in line with SLAs and vendor agreements
Analyse, prioritise and resolve application issues, including root cause analysis
Manage incidents and escalations to minimise business impact
Support application configuration, testing, releases and ongoing maintenance
Identify improvement opportunities and enhance user experience
Follow best practices across incident, testing and release management
Participate in on-call support as part of a roster
Stay up to date with system updates, features and functionality
Engage early in change initiatives to identify risks and issues
Provide post go-live support and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing
About you
You bring demonstrated experience in an Application Support or Analyst role within a medium to large corporate environment, combined with strong stakeholder management and customer service skills.
You have a solid understanding of application integration and the end-to-end business process lifecycle, enabling you to build effective relationships and deliver reliable, business-aligned solutions.
You’ll bring:
Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously
Effective prioritisation and impact management skills
Excellent organisation skills
Knowledge of relational database systems, SQL, MS Excel and report writing (preferred)
Experience with incident troubleshooting and escalation (desired)
Experience using help desk ticketing software (desired)
