About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior D365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant to join us on a 6–12 month contract engagement, supporting a complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management transformation.

This is a senior, hands-on and client-facing role covering procurement, product information management, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing, planning, distribution, costing and end-to-end traceability.

You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, architects, integration specialists and delivery teams to translate complex operational requirements into practical, scalable solutions. You’ll champion a fit-to-standard approach and maintain clear links between requirements, configuration, testing and deployment.

The delivery team works across Australia and New Zealand, with most project activities completed remotely and on-site attendance arranged where it adds value.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead workshops to understand supply chain processes and translate requirements into clear D365 SCM designs and configurations.
  • Design and configure procurement, product information, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing, planning, distribution and costing capabilities.
  • Define product and inventory processes covering item structures, GTINs, batches, serial numbers, licence plates, substitutions, shelf life, quality and traceability.
  • Design manufacturing and warehouse processes, including BOMs and formulas, production consumption and reporting, scanning, receiving, picking, transfers and dispatch.
  • Work with architects and technical teams on integrations with manufacturing, export, costing, logistics and other operational systems.
  • Support data migration, testing, defect resolution, training, cutover, go-live and hypercare.
  • Maintain clear functional documentation, resolve critical design decisions early and proactively manage risks and dependencies.
  • Build trusted stakeholder relationships and collaborate effectively across locations and time zones.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management solutions.
  • Broad functional expertise across procurement, product information management, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing and planning.
  • Experience delivering supply chain solutions in manufacturing, food, agribusiness, distribution or another environment requiring strong product traceability.
  • Strong workshop facilitation, requirements analysis, solution design and stakeholder management skills.
  • Practical experience across configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, cutover and hypercare.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and remain responsive within a distributed project team.

Experience in food manufacturing, primary processing, cold-chain or multi-site operations would be valuable, along with knowledge of batch control, warehouse scanning and supply chain integrations. Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are also beneficial.

Contract: 6–12 months
Working arrangements: Predominantly remote, working across Australia and New Zealand, with on-site attendance as required.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
