The Opportunity

Findex is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to lead our content, SEO and AI answer engine strategy, open to candidates anywhere in Australia on a 12-month max-term contract.

Sitting within our national Marketing team and reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role owns the content engine end-to-end - from editorial calendar and website architecture through to thought leadership and client stories - and puts you at the centre of how Findex shows up in search and AI-driven answers. It's a rare opportunity to build and scale an agentic content operation for one of Australia's largest professional services firms.

Your role, your contribution!

  • Set the strategic direction for Findex's SEO and AI Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) program, structuring content and site architecture so Findex is found and recommended by search engines and AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews

  • Own and run Findex's agentic content pipeline end-to-end, from research and drafting through to review and production, using AI agents to scale the engine without compromising quality

  • Set and uphold Findex's editorial voice, tone and narrative across every piece of content published, from thought leadership to client stories

  • Maintain the editorial calendar and produce thought leadership, client stories, launch and educational content that fuels every channel and campaign

  • Partner closely with the Marketing Campaign Manager to translate campaign objectives into content that converts, keeping content and performance marketing working as one system

  • Track content, search and AEO performance data, feeding insights back into the editorial calendar and content strategy to continuously improve visibility and engagement

The benefits of joining us!

  • Flexible working arrangements, with the option to work from anywhere in Australia

  • The opportunity to build and shape a high-impact function at the centre of Findex's marketing strategy

  • Access to Findex's national network of marketing, communications and technical professionals

  • Structured learning and development opportunities, including exposure to leading AI and search tools

  • Exposure to a diverse, integrated client base across wealth management, accounting and business advisory

  • Meaningful community impact through the Findex Community Fund

What you will bring to the role:

  • Proven experience owning a content strategy or content engine end-to-end, spanning integrated marketing, content strategy or editorial functions

  • Demonstrated track record running a multi-channel content engine and editorial calendar at scale, with a strong portfolio of long-form, short-form and earned content

  • Strategic ownership of SEO and AEO programs, with hands-on experience in technical and structural SEO, schema markup, site architecture and crawl health

  • Confident, practical use of AI tools and agents in a commercial content setting, along with familiarity with platforms such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs

  • Experience partnering with performance marketing or campaigns functions to translate objectives into content that converts

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field; postgraduate qualifications and prior experience in financial services, professional services or another regulated industry are highly regarded

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
