Boeing Aerostructures Australia is seeking a well-rounded and highly motivated Configuration Management Specialist to join our Port Melbourne team to support our Boeing products.
This role is based at our Port Melbourne facility and is 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Configuration and Data Management plans, processes and procedures, in accordance with business and contractual requirements
- Maintain the programs product definition and design data, technical baselines, engineering changes, and current approved configuration in the configuration status accounting tools
- Perform lifecycle management of engineering changes including participation in the Change Control Boards and acting as release authority for design data
- Effectively interface with project team members and our customers
- Participate in product technical design reviews and audits as required
- Limited administrative support for the team
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a design, manufacturing or maintenance industry;
- Experience in managing configuration of products in a Product Lifecycle Management system, electronic document management system, or similar;
- Experience interpreting Engineering drawings, 3D CAD and Specifications is preferred
- Formal Configuration Management training / certification is preferred

Additional Information: This is an award position classified as an Aerospace Technician 3A. The successful candidate will be required to complete background checks including medical and is applicable to a 3-month probationary period.
