What You Will Get To Do:

The Communications Specialist will lead the creation and delivery of compelling, strategic communications that articulate SS&C’s narrative across media, corporate affairs, internal channels, and content development. This role will support the transition and transformation of the Australian Insignia Program, as well as broader messaging across the Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) and Retirement Solutions (RS) divisions.

Reporting to the Global Head of Enablement and Propositions, the Communications Specialist will strengthen advocacy for SS&C Australia’s strategy, vision, and value proposition among employees, clients, industry stakeholders, and, where required, regulators—often via the Executive Leadership Team. The role will also support the GIDS Chief Administrative Office with select communication initiatives.

  • Manage SS&C Australia's day-to-day Insignia communication plan across multiple stakeholders and channels, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.

  • Align internal and external communications with SS&C’s strategic objectives, maintaining consistent and complementary messaging.

  • Develop and execute strategic communication programs that position SS&C as a thought leader and elevate its national and market presence.

  • Lead internal communications that connect employees to SS&C’s vision, fostering engagement and a high-performance culture.

  • Prepare thoughtful responses to Insignia-related queries and manage communications across key stakeholder groups.

  • Produce impactful content and materials that support strategic messaging and business development.

  • Coordinate communication initiatives in support of organisational change and transformation projects.

  • Monitor, manage, and respond to media issues with the potential to affect SS&C’s reputation, working closely with leadership as needed.

What You Will Bring:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.

  • Strategic thinker with content development experience across internal and external channels.

  • Skilled in project and stakeholder management, coordinating multiple deliverables under tight deadlines.

  • Expertise in media relations and issues management, including handling reputational matters.

  • Collaborative, with experience working with senior executives and cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in digital communication tools (e.g., intranet, social media, email).

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, media, or public affairs, preferably in financial services.

  • Proven track record in executing communication strategies for business transformation or change initiatives.

  • Experience in managing communication for large-scale projects or transformations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
