Commercial Product Manager – Audit Workflow Software

Asia Pacific  ·  Based in Sydney

We’re looking for a commercially minded Commercial Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap and go-to-market for our external audit workflow solutions including CCH iFirm Engagement across APAC.  You’ll join a growing bench of Commercial Product Managers across our business, who made this exact move from Big 4 and mid-tier firms before you.

Why this role

  • You already understand the problem better than most product people ever will — engagement workflows, ISQM1 pressure, partner sign-off bottlenecks and the manual grind auditors live with every busy season.
  • Real commercial ownership — pricing, roadmap, go-to-market and revenue growth, not just a backlog to manage.
  • A front-row seat shaping how AI, data analytics and agentic automation transform audit, moving the profession from manual testing to intelligent, evidence-linked review.
  • Direct access to audit partners & leaders and accounting firms across the region, and a seat presenting to senior stakeholders inside a global information-services leader.

What you’ll do

  • Own the commercial strategy, roadmap and go-to-market for our audit and workflow portfolio.
  • Meet with audit partners and firms to translate real workflow pain into product decisions
  • Track audit methodology, assurance technology, automation and regional regulatory shifts.
  • Build compelling value propositions and revenue growth plans — pricing, acquisition, retention, cross-sell.
  • Partner with engineering, UX and product owners to prioritize what matters most.
  • Be the internal and external voice of the customer, and the go-to expert on audit and firm workflow.

What you’ll bring

  • 3–5+ years in external audit & assurance experience - ideally from a Big 4 or leading mid-tier firm.
  • Hands-on knowledge of audit engagement workflows and the operational reality of running a firm.
  • Strong commercial instincts and genuine curiosity about technology, SaaS and automation.
  • Confidence in front of partners, customers and senior stakeholders.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
  • Product management experience is a bonus, not a requirement — we’ll teach you the product craft if you bring the domain expertise and commercial drive.

This could be you if you’re…

  • A senior audit associate or audit manager ready to swap client files for product strategy.
  • An audit transformation, methodology or innovation specialist.
  • A firm-side technology consultant with deep audit domain knowledge.
  • Simply someone who’s commercially sharp, customer-obsessed and done watching from the sidelines.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
