We are looking for Transformative Commercial Manager to join our team and play a critical role in safeguarding our financial interests, managing contractual obligations, and supporting project success across Australia.

About the Role

As a Commercial Manager, you will partner with operations teams to manage the financial and contractual aspects of our projects. You could be a Senior Contract Administrator with drive and ambition looking to set up. This is a transformative position, looking at driving change across the business.

You’ll identify commercial risks, resolve contractual issues, support bid preparation, and ensure compliance with contract terms. This is a key role in providing training on commercial best practices and contract management.

You can be based at our Brisbane or Melbourne Office supporting the function across ANZ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Protect KONE’s financial and commercial interests with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Review and negotiate contract terms, manage claims, and ensure compliance with obligations.

  • Support dispute resolution and project close-out activities.

  • Drive timely payments and mitigate bad debt risks.

  • Support tendering teams in preparing accurate, competitive bids.

  • Identify business opportunities through commercial insights.

  • Support project teams with day-to-day commercial issues.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 7 years commercial experience in construction

  • Strong knowledge of project operations, financial processes, and contract management.

  • Advanced commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities.

  • Solid understanding of local laws and regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
