The Commercial Account Executive is responsible for building Commercial-level client relationships within the Victoria market.

Individuals who excel at this job have the ability to prospect, develop, and close business in a timely manner while focusing on the clients' requirements.

The Commercial AE must have the confidence and ability to negotiate and close agreements with clients and support new customers through our onboarding process. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way to high visibility, high impact projects at a very exciting time for the company. AS A COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, YOU WILL:

  • Achieve sales quotas for allocated accounts on a quarterly and annual basis by developing a sales strategy across the Melbourne territory with a target prospect list and a regional sales plan

  • Develop marketing plans with the marketing team to drive revenue growth across the AI Data Cloud

  • Be the trusted advisor to the customer by understanding their existing and future IT roadmap to drive adoption of the Snowflake platform in the marketplace

  • Qualify prospects and develop new sales opportunities and ongoing revenue streams

  • Arrange and conduct initial Executive and CxO discussions and positioning meetings

  • Manage the full sales process through to opportunity closure

  • Drive ongoing account management to ensure customer satisfaction and expand adoption across Snowflake capabilities such as Snowpark, data sharing, and the Marketplace

OUR IDEAL COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE WILL HAVE:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle sales experience selling software or cloud-based applications to the mid and large markets

  • Experience selling cloud, databases, business intelligence software, data warehousing, or SaaS

  • A proven track record of working with enterprise customers across industries

  • Experience hitting a quota of $500K+ of ARR per year

  • A track record of success in driving consistent activity, pipeline development, and quota achievement

  • Experience determining customer requirements and presenting appropriate solutions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

  • Experience selling into the ANZ commercial market with an existing regional network

  • Familiarity with consumption-based or usage-based commercial models

  • Exposure to the modern data stack and cloud data platforms
