Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and organised Clinical Simulation Laboratory Coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality clinical simulation learning experiences. In this hands-on role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the simulation laboratory, ensuring equipment, manikins, and learning spaces are safe, compliant, and ready for use.

Working closely with academic staff, students, and the Laboratory Assistant, you will help manage inventory and consumables, provide training and support in the use of laboratory equipment, and supervise simulation sessions. You will also contribute to student learning by teaching, supporting, and assessing students within the clinical simulation environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the simulation laboratory.
  • Ensure all equipment and manikins are maintained and ready for use.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant lab environment in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Teach, support and assess students in the clinical simulation laboratory environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Laboratory Assistant to manage inventory, ordering, and stock control of lab equipment and consumables.
  • Provide training and support to staff and students in the use of lab equipment.
  • Supervise lab sessions and provide additional student support where needed.

Qualifications

You will have:

  • Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).
  • Relevant experience in nursing, education, or simulation/lab coordination.
  • Understanding of the VET sector and RTO compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with ANMAC standards and accreditation processes (highly desirable).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence using technology, including Microsoft Office and LMS platforms.
