Job Description

As a Client Accounting Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the financial administration of client engagements. You will be responsible for processing payments and receipts, performing reconciliations, maintaining accurate records and assisting stakeholders with day to day financial queries.

Working closely with internal teams and external financial institutions, you'll contribute to the efficient management of client funds while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Please note this is a 12 month contract role. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Process accounts payable transactions, receipts, payments and financial record updates. 
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support daily payment processing across multiple banking platforms.
  • Maintain accurate cashbooks, registers and financial documentation.
  • Assist with statutory reporting requirements, including BAS and ASIC-related transaction preparation.
  • Establish and administer client bank accounts, term deposits and related banking activities. 
  • Liaise with financial institutions regarding account administration and banking enquiries. 
  • Respond to stakeholder queries and provide high-quality accounts and bookkeeping support.
  • Support complex financial transactions, settlements and distributions when required.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, finance administration or a similar role
  • Sound understanding of financial transactions and record keeping
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with accounting or financial management systems (experience with insolvency software is advantageous but not essential)
