The Role: 

The Category Assistant will support the Category Team in the growth and profitability of a specific category, whilst having a strong focus on merchandise activities, administrative processes, and data analytics. This role is in support of the Category Manager- Off Road, parts and tyres. As such, knowledge of these categories would be an advantage.

Duties include: 

  • Support all members of the category team
  • Part Creations
  • Purchasing
  • Inventory updates including product detail, pricing and stock reorder triggers
  • Administer processes & procedures relating to the category
  • Compile reporting
  • Assist with retail and trade promotional builds and ensure deadlines are met
  • Assist with range reviews, introductions, and clearance

About You:  

  • High level excel skills
  • Retail experience desirable
  • Strong organisational skills and able to juggle a number of constantly changing priorities
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work effectively without close supervision, with a flexible approach
  • Knowledge of the motorcycle accessory marketplace an advantage
  • Studies in Business Management, Retail Merchandise related fields an advantage
