Description and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
As AI adoption accelerates across the organization and software development lifecycle, the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) plays a critical role in bridging business and technology teams while leveraging AI to drive productivity, improve quality, and accelerate delivery.
Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, and solution design sessions.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend technology solutions.
• Support end-to-end project delivery from requirements through implementation.

AI-Driven Business Analysis

• Proactively leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and other AI-powered solutions to improve productivity and effectiveness in daily BSA activities.
• Utilize AI to support requirements analysis, documentation, impact assessment, test preparation, and stakeholder communications.
• Identify and drive opportunities to automate or streamline business analysis processes through AI.
• Champion an AI-first mindset and promote best practices across the team.
• Stay current with emerging AI capabilities and continuously identify new opportunities to apply AI within the software development lifecycle.

System Analysis & Solution Support

• Analyze business processes, system capabilities, and technical solutions to support project objectives.
• Perform impact assessments for system enhancements, integrations, and production changes.
• Collaborate closely with architects, developers, QA teams, and business partners to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Support testing activities, defect analysis, and production issue resolution.

Code Analysis & Review

• Review and analyze application source code to understand system behavior and assess the impact of proposed changes.
• Conduct code reviews and walkthroughs with development teams to improve solution quality and maintainability.
• Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of application issues.
• Ensure solutions adhere to technical standards, security requirements, and best practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as a trusted advisor between business and technology teams.
• Communicate complex business and technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
• Manage expectations, risks, dependencies, and project-related communications.
• Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver business value.
