As we continue to grow and expand our Linear Lighting Division, we are launching new market-leading linear lighting solutions and broadening our offering into new sectors and customer markets. With exciting growth plans and a renewed leadership direction, we are now looking to strengthen our VIC team with the addition of a driven Business Development Manager.

Job DescriptionYou will play a key role in driving growth across Victoria by developing new business opportunities and building strong relationships across the commercial lighting market.
Working closely with Architects, Lighting Designers, Engineers, Contractors, Developers, Specifiers, and End-users, you will manage projects from initial engagement through to delivery, supported by an experienced in-house team of lighting designers, engineers, and technical specialists.
This is not a transactional sales role. It is a consultative position focused on tailored solutions, technical collaboration, and long-term relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of commercial and infrastructure lighting projects across VIC
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within targeted market segments
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to project delivery
- Work closely with internal engineering and design teams to deliver customised lighting solutions
- Build strong relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, developers, and key stakeholders
- Represent Schréder at client meetings, project discussions, site visits, and industry events
- Maintain market awareness and identify emerging opportunities and trends
About You
- Proven experience in business development or specification sales
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- A proactive and commercially driven approach
- Comfortable managing technical and project-based sales conversations
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience within lighting, electrical, architectural products, construction, or related industries will be highly regarded
