Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to shape customer-focused solutions

Sales Operations

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle—from opportunity identification to negotiation and closure
  • Use CRM tools to track pipeline activity, sales metrics, and forecasting accuracy
  • Report on performance and contribute to continuous process improvement
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in business development or sales, ideally in IoT, telecoms, or a technology-led industry
  • Demonstrated success in generating new business and managing key customer relationships
  • Strong commercial awareness and a passion for emerging technologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and sales methodologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Additional Information:
  • This is a full-time role based in our Melbourne office, with flexibility to work across varied client environments.
  • Domestic travel will be required.
  • You’ll join a supportive team with access to leading-edge technology and resources.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
