Job Description

What you’ll be doing

As a Business Development Manager you will be expected to drive growth across our non-car verticals—including Trucks, Boats, Bikes, Caravans, Farms, and Construction.

In this phone-based sales role, you will partner closely with your manager to prospect, convert, and onboard new dealers while cross-selling a suite of value-added industry products.

  • Identify new and existing business opportunities to increase the growth of the business unit, promoting strong client acquisition, engagement and retention strategies.
  • Identify further opportunities using data driven market analysis and feedback from our customers.
  • Maintain a current understanding of competitor knowledge, contemporary practices and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the business to identify and achieve business unit financial goals.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated inclusive and interpersonal attributes that connect you to our behaviours.
  • Expertise in sales, business development or B2B Customer Service.
  • Demonstrated ability in meeting quarterly KPI’s and sales targets.
  • A positive and articulate communicator who can build sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and deliver engaging presentations to a variety of audiences.

We know not everyone will meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If you’re excited about the role and believe you can make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
