Position Overview

As the Business Development Manager – VIC, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across multiple product lines, while maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers in the Victorian region. This role is central to achieving sales growth, gross profit, and strategic KPI objectives for the Curtain Hardware Australia division. You’ll serve as a key commercial driver, helping expand market presence and shape customer solutions through consultative engagement and sales excellence.

What you'll do

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory across our business units, Curtain Hardware Australia, Window Covering Components and Finished Goods.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers to meet and exceed sales and gross profit targets.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored sales presentations to prospective clients to highlight product and service capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and leverage support services to effectively respond to customer needs and opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
  • Participate in new product launches and promotional events, offering technical support as needed.
  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to legal, ethical, and company compliance requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, forecasts, and sales pipeline activity using CRM tools.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Who you are

  • Proven success in a B2B business development or field sales role.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to independently manage time, travel, and territory with a results-driven mindset.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Comfortable presenting to small and large groups, including executive-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships in complex sales environments.
