AlayaCare builds the software that aged care, disability and community care providers rely on to run their operations: scheduling, clinical documentation, workforce management, billing and mobile tools for teams on the ground. Our platform is used across home care, residential facilities and community services. We’re growing fast across ANZ because providers want tech that works, not another system that makes their job harder.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who lives and breathes new business, with a focus on the disability sector. This is a pure hunting role focused on sourcing, developing and closing new enterprise deals, even as you work across a wider mix of opportunity sizes. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, you’ll drive pipeline, create your own opportunities, and represent AlayaCare across the industry.

You’ll build strong working relationships with Solutions Engineering, Marketing and the broader team, but your north star is simple: new logos and incremental ARR.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning the full sales cycle across SMB and enterprise – you’ll be working on multiple deals of different sizes concurrently.
  • Prospecting hard: outbound outreach, industry networking, events, referrals and targeted campaigns.
  • Building and maintaining a solid pipeline through disciplined activity and HubSpot hygiene.
  • Leading discovery, documenting business requirements, and shaping deals with precision.
  • Managing RFIs, RFPs, proposals and tender responses with Solution Engineers using Responsive or DealHub.
  • Working closely with Solutions Engineers to design and present tailored solutions.
  • Navigating complex buying groups and building senior-level relationships across client organisations.
  • Representing AlayaCare at conferences and industry events.
  • Staying across market trends, competitor movements and the broader care sector landscape.

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years SaaS sales experience with proven new-business results.
  • Experience selling into large organisations (250m+ turnover).
  • Strong understanding of aged care, disability, community care or adjacent health sectors.
  • Confident communicator: articulate, credible and skilled at managing diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with high outbound activity and self-generated pipeline.
  • Skilled networker who builds relationships long before the deal is live.
  • Strong CRM discipline (HubSpot experience welcomed).
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with pre-sales and marketing.
  • Resilient, commercially sharp and motivated by the chase.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of industry regulatory or quality standards
  • Knowledge of AlayaCare or similar care management platforms

What you’ll get in return

  • Choose your own 2 days/week in office, 3 days WFH
  • Competitive salary & OTE commission
  • 5 Wellness days per year
  • $1,000/year flexible benefits package
  • 22 weeks company-paid parental leave
  • 2 days company-paid volunteer leave to support causes you care about
  • Team lunches, events & wellness activities
  • A genuinely open, inclusive, and collaborative culture
  • A chance to do purposeful work in the fast-paced tech sector, whilst making real impact in the care space.

Belonging matters.

We’re committed to building an organisation that reflects the communities we serve. Diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility aren’t just buzzwords here, they’re woven into everything we do.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
