About the role .
The Business Development Manager - Foodservice plays a key role in driving profitable growth across New South Wales by developing strong partnerships with distributors and foodservice customers. Reporting to the Foodservice National Business Manager - MEU, this role is responsible for managing existing accounts, winning new business, and increasing market penetration through strong customer engagement, product activation, and execution excellence.
This is a field-based role, working closely with end users, distributors, and internal stakeholders to deliver value led solutions and achieve sales targets.
About You .
What you'll be doing.
  • Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with distributors and foodservice customers across a designated NSW territory
  • Win new business while maximising value and ranging within existing accounts
  • Drive product pull ‑ through by influencing end ‑ users and supporting distributor execution
  • Deliver product presentations, cook ‑ ups, and menu support aligned to customer needs and call cycles
  • Support new product launches, menu development, and SKU activation as directed
  • Proactively manage account plans, forecasts, pipelines, and opportunity tracking
  • Provide timely and accurate sales reporting, including forecasts, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Ensure all activity aligns with corporate policies, pricing frameworks, approval processes, and ethical standards
  • Contribute to team capability by sharing knowledge, supporting new starters, and collaborating across the Foodservice team
  • Maintain accurate customer records and complete call cycle planning and CRM updates

What you'll need to be successful.
  • Experience in a sales or business development role, ideally within foodservice, hospitality, FMCG, or a related industry
  • Strong ability to build trusted relationships and influence customers at multiple levels
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and convert them into results
  • Confident communication and presentation skills, both face ‑ to ‑ face and in writing
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan territory activity and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
  • Sound digital capability, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • A proactive, self ‑ motivated approach with resilience and ownership of outcomes
  • Willingness to travel within the allocated territory as required

The role is part of the National MEU and Key accounts team, working closely with the NSW State team, fellow BDMs, distributor partners, and national support teams. Together, the team focuses on delivering customer‑led growth, consistent execution, and strong partnerships across the foodservice channel.
