Business Development Manager (FSI)

The Financial Services Industry (FSI) Pursuit Sales Lead is responsible for driving strategic revenue growth within the banking and financial services sector by originating, shaping, developing qualified pipeline for DXC across the Financial Services Industry. This role focuses on, engaging senior Client executives to align DXC’s technology capabilities with clients’ strategic priorities. With an expansive FSI network you are known as a strategic advisor who “opens doors” and connects key client stakeholders with the vast technology solutions and expertise DXC has to offer. The position leads strategic pursuits from early opportunity identification through to deal closure, orchestrating cross-functional teams to create differentiated value propositions and deliver sustainable growth for DXC and value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for the Financial Services Industry (FSI), leveraging existing client and partner networks.

  • Identify and pursue high-value opportunities across digital transformation, cloud, security, workplace modernisation, and network solutions.

  • Build and manage targeted account strategies across banking, insurance, wealth, and payments sectors.

  • Proactively generate opportunities through industry insights and senior client engagement.

  • Position DXC as a trusted advisor by leading executive-level conversations on technology, transformation, and innovation.

  • Originate, shape, and lead strategic deals, influencing client direction and solution design from early stages.

  • Develop winning strategies, including competitive positioning and commercial deal structuring.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, consulting, architecture, delivery, and partners) to qualify and close opportunities.

  • Maintain a strong pipeline aligned to growth priorities and deliver against revenue and signings targets.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, high-value client solutions.

  • Ensure alignment between client needs, solution design, and commercial outcomes.

  • Leverage global capabilities to deliver differentiated and innovative solutions.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in sales or business development within Banking & Financial Services (FSI), with a strong track record of selling into banks and navigating complex procurement environments.

  • Demonstrated success managing mid to large sized deal cycles ($500K–$1M+), with the ability to progress and close multiple opportunities simultaneously.

  • Strong domain-led sales capability, with a solid understanding of FSI industry dynamics, regulatory considerations, and client buying behaviours.

  • Experience selling infrastructure-led solutions, including cloud, telecommunications infrastructure, and foundational technology services.

  • Track record in sales strategy development, customer relationship management, and market analysis.

  • Ability to originate, shape, and execute opportunities, including developing win strategies and competitive deal positioning.

  • Established network of senior stakeholders and the ability to influence at executive level.

  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams to drive outcomes.

  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on pipeline growth, revenue delivery, and client success.

  • Stable career history demonstrating consistent performance and progression.

  • Continuous learner who stays current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

  • Typically 7+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with leading or adjacent technology/services organisations.

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Sales Professional or Certified Sales Enablement Professional).
