We are seeking a passionate, collaborative Business Analyst to drive process improvement and service transformation enabled through our Digital Transformation Program (Program). The role will initially focus on establishing future state visions for the services and processes in scope of the initiative, later collaborating with our implementation partners and process owners to identify business rules and requirements to enable the configuration of our enabling technology.

What you’ll be doing

  • Ensure the services and processes in scope of the program meets the needs of our customers and community, are owned by the business, enabling the improvement of both our customers and employee experience.
  • Document process maps, service, and process visions to enable timely and effective decision making during the delivery stage of the program.
  • Working with our implementation partners and the business define service and process detailed functional and non-functional requirements to inform the configuration of our enabling technology, validating how these needs are being met throughout the programs lifecycle.
  • Working collaboratively with our Process and Services Owners, Subject Matter experts, Customer Experience, and Organisational Performance and Strategy Divisions, define future state visions and challenges for the services and processes in scope in preparation for the configuration of our enabling technology.
  • Working collaboratively with our implementation partners, Process and Service Owners, identify the business rules and requirements to inform the configuration of our enabling technology, developing and maintaining detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and functional specifications.
  • Ensure the configuration of the enabling technology adheres to the program’s principles, meeting our customer and user needs, whilst ensuring that Council’s legislative and regulatory requirements are being met.
  • Ensure reporting requirements are supported by the transformation of our processes and services to be realised through the configuration of the technology to support effective decision making and Councils continual improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify impacts to our operating model, customers, and users to support effective change management and training activities.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

  • Experience in understanding stakeholder issues and challenges and devising improvements through business analysis methods.
  • Experience in applying Business Analysis methodologies, such as BABoK, and the delivery of information technology-enabled services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the development, implementation, and review of innovative solutions to enhance service outcomes.   
  • An understanding of Technology One’s OneCouncil Software as a Service (SaaS) Ci Anywhere Enterprise Resource Planning solution would be desirable.
