About the Role
The Service Line (About)
The EPMO is a dedicated team responsible for driving ICT projects that align with the organisation’s strategic goals. Through partnerships with various Service Lines, the EPMO ensures that project outcomes meet the evolving needs of both internal and external clients. By understanding the unique requirements of each area, the EPMO identifies and supports business improvement opportunities, positioning the organisation for enhanced efficiency, innovation, and client satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement: Lead conversations to identify business needs and uncover opportunities for business improvement. Facilitate discussions to gather insights and align expectations.
Analysis and documentation: Analyse and document key project deliverables at various stage including but not limited to business requirements documents, current and future stage process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Process Mapping: Develop and evaluate process diagrams in accordance with Business Process Management Notation (BPMN), ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational goals.
Project Deliverables: Contribute expert input into functional requirements, statements of work, test scenarios, and benefits management documentation.
Risk and Impact Assessment: Identify risks, issues, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions while outlining their business impacts.
Market Research and Vendor Engagement: Conduct market research and early vendor engagement to inform solution options and procurement strategies.
Solution Design and Delivery: Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement ICT solutions that meet business objectives.
Testing and Validation: Ensure solutions align with stakeholder expectations through comprehensive testing and refinement processes.
Skills/Attributes Required:
Demonstrated expertise in capturing and analysing business requirements, process modelling, and validating solutions, preferably within financial services environments.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to gather information from diverse sources and foster innovative solutions.
Proven experience engaging stakeholders at all levels of seniority within the organisation to elicit information to align critical business objectives with complex solutions.
Demonstrable exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly and logically across all audience levels.
Advanced proficiency in BPMN tools such as Mural or Visio for effective process mapping and workshopping.
Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies with hands-on experience in business reform, digital transformation projects, and enabling change in dynamic environments.
Strong analytical skills to assess project requirements, identify potential challenges and navigating complex issues and develop effective solutions.
Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and ambiguity, and the resilience to handle high-pressure situations with a positive, solution-oriented approach.
High motivation with the ability to manage complex challenges and deliver high-quality solutions under tight and conflicting deadlines.
Qualifications and Experience required:
A bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in business analysis, with a focus on ICT projects.
Knowledge of BABOK® v3 principles is highly desirable.
Practical experience in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
