We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Brand Manager to oversee our Compression portfolio in Australia and New Zealand. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to make a significant impact, this role is for you.

About the Role:

As the Brand Manager for the Compression portfolio, you will be responsible for achieving growth targets, including revenue, profit, and market share. You will develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive success across Australia and New Zealand. Your role will involve key operational activities such as product launches, portfolio reviews, pricing initiatives, and annual budget planning. You will also collaborate with global teams to ensure strategies are tailored to the ANZ market.

Collaboration is key in this role, requiring someone who takes real ownership of their portfolio. As market leaders in lymphology, we offer both custom-made garments and ready-to-wear solutions. You’ll work closely with the Clinical Compression Team, as well as the Pharmacy, Community and Hospital teams, leveraging their extensive knowledge and expertise to drive success.

We’re looking for people who embody our values, aren’t afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace. We’re always looking for ways to improve our products and ourselves. If this is you, we’d love to talk.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive key operational activities including product launch, portfolio reviews, forecasting, pricing initiatives, and annual budget planning.

  • Monitor financial performance and implement improvement measures as needed.

  • Develop mitigation strategies for significant quality issues and complaints.

  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure global strategies are fit for ANZ.

  • Develop and implement a sales and marketing plan to achieve annual growth, revenue, and profit targets.

  • Drive collaboration with sales to develop and implement necessary sales collateral.

  • Monitor and adjust the performance of the sales and marketing plan.

  • Collaborate with the wider team to drive a coordinated approach to indication-based selling.

  • Contribute to the development of the overall communication plan for Compression.

  • Monitor and manage the A&P budget, focusing on driving ROI.

  • Build and maintain knowledge of market trends, customer buying behavior, and the competitive landscape.

  • Drive utilization and engagement of existing KOLs and build a pipeline of emerging KOLs.

  • Role model Essity’s global beliefs and behaviors of Care, Courage, Collaborate, and Commitment.

Who You Are:

We’re looking for someone with experience in compression garments, ideally with a clinical background—such as a lymphoedema therapist. Experience in Brand Management, Sales, or Marketing is preferred, along with:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in the Health and Medical sector (advantageous).

  • Strong commercial acumen and a customer-centric, solution-focused mindset.

  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders, drive performance, and execute tasks on time.

  • Analytical, decisive, and innovative, with strong project management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, engaging at all levels and across geographies.

  • IT proficiency, with intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite skills.

  • A self-starter who can manage competing priorities while working collaboratively.

  • A valid Driver’s Licence and access to a car, with the ability to travel across ANZ to support events, workshops, and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development.

Ideally, this role is based in our Head Office in Mulgrave, but we are open to alternative locations for the right candidate.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
