Job Description

Ready to make a real impact? We’re looking for a BTM Sales Specialist to join our Behind the Meter team! You’ll turn warm leads into happy customers by offering smart, solutions-focused advice on solar, home batteries, and more.

From first chat to post-install support, you’ll guide customers every step of the way—helping them power up their homes with the latest in consumer energy tech, including EV chargers down the track. It’s all about great experiences and greener choices. In addition to this you will be;

  • Be the “energy expert” for potential customers to assess their energy needs and recommend tailored solar and battery solutions
  • Convert warm leads into sales through phone consultations, phone calls and emails/messaging.
  • Answer customer inquiries (by email or phone) and basic problem solving for all consumer energy devices (such as solar, battery & EV chargers) and provide level 1 advice
  • Educate clients on the financial and environmental benefits of solar and battery storage
  • Co-ordinate with other teams both internal to Intellihub and partner companies to move customers through the funnel from lead to conversion.
  • Address customer inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance on device operation and maintenance.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Update systems for all customer interactions, installations and payments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to build referrals and repeat business.
  • Provide input customer communication templates and scripts.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment and contribute to continual improvement in quality and performance at Intellihub by complying with all relevant policies and procedures

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a strong customer-first mindset, a passion for helping others, and the drive to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We’re looking for someone who can confidently connect with customers, provide tailored advice, and manage multiple tasks with ease. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced customer sales and service environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build rapport and provide exceptional service to customers.
  • Strong active listening skills and the ability to understand customer needs.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to find solutions to customer inquiries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Super organised, ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for renewable energy and sustainability is a plus.
  • Sound technical knowledge of solar panels and home battery systems
