Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Perioperative - Bariatric & General Surgeries

As a senior member of our clinical team, you will review, plan, oversee and deliver patient care within the unit under the guidance and support of the Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Educator. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) provides operational leadership and expert clinical oversight within the perioperative bariatric and general surgery area. You will be driving high-quality patient care and efficient theatre-to-ward workflows, coordinating daily unit operations, mentoring clinical staff with an emphasis on managing advanced robotic surgical pathways and complex bariatric patient care.

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) role consists of clinical aptitude, dynamic planning and supportive leadership to enable the perioperative nursing team to provide a high level of quality service and care to our patients.

About You
To succeed in this role, you must display strong clinical knowledge and competence within an acute surgical setting. You will hold a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will bring;

• Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum three (2 -3) years’ perioperative nursing experience
• Previous experience in a surgical or day procedure unit
• Flexibility to be available weekends, weekdays and evenings
• Clinical leadership experience or post graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded
• Extensive clinical experience working in bariatric and robotic cases.
