Through our Health & Medical business and trusted brands like Actimove®, Cutimed®, Delta-Cast®, JOBST®, Leukoplast® and TENA®, we provide innovative, sustainable solutions for managing conditions such as lymphedema, chronic wounds, orthopedic injuries and incontinence, and advancing MedTech across hospitals, pharmacies, nursing homes and online channels. Join us in breaking barriers to well-being!

As we enter an important phase in our digital evolution, we are seeking an experienced Associate E‑Commerce Manager to drive the growth and performance of our E‑Commerce channels across Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role:

As Associate E‑Commerce Manager, you will play a key role in building and scaling Essity’s digital commerce ecosystem across ANZ. This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role that blends strategic leadership with end‑to‑end operational execution, supporting both short‑term performance and long‑term capability building.

You will be responsible for shaping and executing the ANZ E‑Commerce strategy for our Health & Medical portfolio. By working closely with cross‑functional and global teams, you’ll help position Essity for sustained growth in an increasingly digital‑first healthcare environment.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead the launch and growth of the JOBST Ready‑to‑Wear (RTW) eShop, delivering a high‑quality digital experience for therapists and future direct‑to‑consumer customers.

  • Drive end‑to‑end performance of Essity’s E‑Commerce channels, optimizing conversion, user experience, pricing and promotions to achieve strong commercial outcomes.

  • Accelerate Essity’s presence across key marketplaces, including Amazon, identifying platforms and partners with strong potential for sustainable growth.

  • Develop and implement SEO and performance marketing strategies on-site platforms to drive qualified traffic and customer acquisition.

  • Leverage the strength of Essity’s brands, including JOBST, to improve both paid and organic digital performance on-site platforms.

  • Take ownership of E‑Commerce revenue, profitability and ROI, using data to inform pricing, promotional planning and channel mix decisions.

  • Apply a structured test‑and‑learn approach to hands‑on E‑Commerce operations, including product listings, content optimization and platform enhancements.

  • Analyze digital performance to identify opportunities to improve customer journeys and overall channel effectiveness.

  • Partner closely with Brand, Customer Service, Sales and Global E‑Commerce teams to align priorities, share insights and embed best practices.

  • Build strong relationships across the organization to maintain momentum and drive E‑Commerce initiatives forward.

Who You Are:

You are an experienced E‑Commerce or digital commerce professional who is comfortable operating across both strategy and execution. You enjoy building and scaling digital channels, working collaboratively across teams, and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.

You bring:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in E‑Commerce, digital commerce or omnichannel roles, with a track record of building or scaling online channels.

  • Hands‑on experience with marketplaces such as Amazon and D2C platforms (e.g. Shopify or equivalent).

  • A strong commercial mindset, with an understanding of profitability, unit economics and ROI.

  • Practical capability across SEO, SEM, conversion optimization and digital analytics.

  • A data‑driven, structured approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.

  • The ability to influence without authority and work effectively in a matrixed, cross‑functional environment.

  • A balance of big‑picture thinking and hands‑on execution.

  • Full unrestricted working rights in Australia.

What We Can Offer You:

Our purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well‑Being, guides everything we do. Join us to improve well‑being for people while driving positive change for society and the environment.

At Essity, you’ll feel valued, empowered to grow and supported to achieve strong business results in a collaborative and open environment.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
