Job Description Summary
This role is responsible for coordinating resident access and appointment activity across the MDU program to support efficient progression from customer readiness through to installation delivery. The Appointment Scheduler acts as the central scheduling point for booking, confirming, rescheduling and tracking customer appointments, ensuring residents, installers and internal teams are aligned to approved dates and access arrangements.

About the Role

Reporting to the MDU Lead, the role supports the smooth handover from engagement and readiness activity into operational delivery by maintaining accurate schedules, confirming appointment requirements, issuing reminders and coordinating changes where customer, site or delivery conditions shift. The role also supports the customer booking portal by monitoring booking activity, identifying exceptions, managing outliers and intervening where manual coordination is required. This helps reduce missed appointments, access failures and unnecessary rework through disciplined planning, communication and follow-up.

The Appointment Scheduler is accountable for scheduling control, customer communication and coordination rather than broader project management. The role provides visibility of appointment status, escalates risks or conflicts promptly and contributes to a more consistent customer experience across the installation pathway.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
