Job DescriptionAbout the role
We are seeking an Application Developer to join Maurice Blackburn on a 6-month contract. In this role, you'll play an important part in designing, building and supporting applications that help our people deliver exceptional outcomes for clients. Working within our Digital & Technology team, you'll collaborate with a range of stakeholders to develop high-quality software solutions, enhance existing applications and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and deploy software solutions that meet business requirements and development standards.
- Analyse technical and business requirements to deliver effective, scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand needs and provide expert technical input.
- Support and maintain existing applications, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and application support.
- Participate in code reviews, testing activities and deployment processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve applications, processes and development practices.
- Contribute innovative thinking and problem-solving skills to complex development challenges.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience developing applications using C#, .NET/.NET Core and modern software development practices.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Azure Functions, Application Insights and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, database design and data integration principles.
- Experience developing modern web applications using technologies such as Blazor, Bootstrap and Syncfusion.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, integrations, OAuth, JWT and authentication frameworks.
- Experience using GitHub, pull requests, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of testing and quality practices, including unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Understanding of modern software architecture principles, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), secure coding practices and software design patterns.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Postman and other contemporary development environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset and a passion for building high-quality solutions that deliver real business value.
