About the RoleWe’re looking for an Analytics Engineer & Insights Consultant to design and build data models, curate metrics, and surface insights that drive real business decisions. You’ll work with modern data platforms, create scalable Power BI solutions, and act as a bridge between data engineering and business analytics teams.
This role is ideal for someone who combines sharp technical skills with business curiosity - someone who thrives on turning complex data into clarity and decision confidence.
What You’ll Do- Develop robust data models and semantic layers to support reporting and self-service analytics
- Build interactive, impactful dashboards and visualisations using Power BI
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into scalable solutions
- Curate and maintain trusted business metrics using tools like dbt, SQL, and cloud data platforms
- Optimise performance of dashboards, queries, and data transformations
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure consistency across pipelines and outputs
- Support the adoption of analytics tools and data literacy within client teams
- Contribute to analytics frameworks, best practices, and re-usable components
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in analytics engineering, BI development, or data consulting
- Strong Power BI development experience - including DAX, visualisation, and data modelling
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)
- Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation tools
- Strong understanding of semantic modelling, KPIs, and metric definitions
- Experience working directly with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver insights
- Excellent communication skills - able to turn data into compelling stories
- A delivery mindset and commitment to quality, performance, and user experience
