About Arc’teryx

At Arc'teryx, we're driven by a passion for solving problems, creating exceptional guest experiences, and building products that perform in the world's most demanding environments. Behind every great in-store experience is the right product in the right place at the right time—and that's where you come in.

We're looking for an organised, analytical and collaborative Allocator to join our team. You'll play a key role in ensuring our retail stores have the inventory they need to deliver an outstanding guest experience, while partnering closely with Retail, Merchandising, Planning, Operations and Customer Service teams across the business.

No two days are the same. From managing stock flow and replenishment to analysing sales trends and supporting store launches and campaigns, you'll be at the centre of keeping our retail business moving.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the flow of inventory across our Arc'teryx retail stores, ensuring the right product reaches the right location at the right time.
  • Develop allocation and replenishment strategies based on sales performance, forecasts and store requirements.
  • Analyse trading performance, sell-through and inventory levels to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Partner with Retail teams to optimise stock levels and support strategies for slow-moving inventory.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Planning to build balanced assortments that meet commercial objectives.
  • Execute stock takes across stores and our distribution centre, reporting on inventory variances.
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Distribution and Operations teams to resolve stock and delivery challenges.
  • Support store campaigns, new product launches and seasonal initiatives by ensuring inventory is available when it's needed.
  • Produce reports and insights that help drive inventory decisions and continuously improve processes.

About you

  • 1+ years' experience in allocations, merchandising, buying, inventory management, retail operations or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with confidence interpreting data and identifying trends.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets (SAP or BI experience is a bonus, but not essential).
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • An understanding of retail and how customers shop across multiple channels.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes and finding better ways of working.
  • A genuine interest in the outdoors, sport or premium retail brands.

What’s in it for you

  • Generous product discounts across Arc’teryx and affiliated Amer Sports brands
  • Competitive salary package and bonus opportunity
  • Real career growth and development pathways within a global business
  • Access to free mental health and wellbeing support through our Employee Assistance Program
  • Ongoing training, leadership development, and learning opportunities
  • Be part of a passionate, purpose-led team that loves the outdoors

Equal Opportunity

If you're excited about this opportunity but don't meet every requirement, we'd still love to hear from you. Research shows that people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply unless they meet every qualification. If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
