Working side by side with our Australian Defence Force Customer, you will perform a significant role in the maintenance of CH47F rotary-wing aircraft by conducting aircraft structural repairs to both metal and composite structure. This will include modification, maintenance, manufacture and/or assembly activities for aircraft and aircraft components.
We are looking for the next Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Aircraft Structures Technician to join our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team supporting the Chinook Integrated Support Services program located at Townsville.

You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time. Responsibilities
- Ensuring all personnel assigned to maintenance tasks are qualified and certified IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
- Ensuring that all maintenance activities are incorporated IAW approved processes and procedures.
- Provide direction and instructions to assist in the development of subordinate Technicians.
- Completion of assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of trade level activities, requiring the application of post-trade qualifications and/or experience in the relevant trade category in accordance with the appropriate documentation (planning documents, engineering drawings, etc.).
Experience/Qualifications
- Hold a Certificate Cert IV in Aircraft Structures; or an equivalent qualification, with sheet metal and composite repair experience.
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance / modification operating procedures and documentation.
- Ability to successfully interact with co-workers, maintaining productive working relationships to meet team, business unit and organisational goals.
- Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Work Health and Safety procedures.
- Sound knowledge of aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance, modification and planning documentation.
