Job Description

Viva Energy Australia is hiring an AI Technology Specialist who will play a key role in identifying, designing, implementing and optimising AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, data specialists and technology teams, the role supports the adoption of enterprise AI capabilities, including Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI and intelligent automation solutions, while ensuring compliance with governance, security and responsible AI principles.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Partner with business and technology teams to identify, assess and deliver AI and automation use cases that improve productivity, decision making and customer outcomes.
  • Design, configure and implement AI-enabled solutions using approved enterprise platforms and services.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of enterprise AI capabilities, patterns, standards and reusable components.
  • Support the adoption of Microsoft AI technologies including Copilot, Azure AI, Fabric and intelligent automation solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solution designs and implementation plans.
  • Participate in solution design, testing, deployment and operational support activities for AI solutions.
  • Perform data preparation, analysis and validation activities to support AI solution delivery.
  • Ensure AI solutions comply with enterprise architecture, cyber security, privacy, compliance and responsible AI requirements.
  • Monitor solution performance and identify opportunities for optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation including solution designs, operating procedures, governance artefacts and knowledge articles.
  • Support AI literacy and capability uplift across technology and business teams through collaboration, coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to AI platform operations, release management and service improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience delivering technology solutions involving artificial intelligence, analytics, automation or modern cloud platforms.
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot Foundry or comparable cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of AI, machine learning, generative AI and intelligent automation concepts.
  • Experience participating in software development, solution delivery or technology transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, cyber security and responsible AI principles.
  • Experience working within enterprise environments using structured delivery and governance practices.
  • Exposure to DevOps, MLOps, CI/CD or modern software engineering practices would be advantageous.
