Position Summary

The AI Enablement Specialist will help bring AI to life across Thermo Fisher Scientific ANZ.  Working under the guidance of the Digital Portfolio Manager, the AI Enablement Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing AI-enabled solutions that improve productivity, solve business challenges and unlock new business capabilities across ANZ.

Working closely with business stakeholders, the role identifies opportunities where Artificial Intelligence can augment human capability, automate repetitive work, and enable new ways of working that were previously impractical or not possible. The role rapidly develops proof of concepts, prototypes and scalable AI solutions using approved Thermo Fisher AI platforms, low-code technologies and emerging AI capabilities while supporting responsible AI adoption across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesAI Opportunity & Solution Delivery
  • Partner with business teams to identify opportunities where AI can solve business challenges, improve productivity, and unlock new business capabilities.
  • Facilitate AI discovery sessions and translate business opportunities into practical AI use cases with measurable business value.
  • Design, develop and implement AI-enabled solutions using approved Thermo Fisher AI platforms, low-code technologies and workflow automation tools.
  • Rapidly develop proof of concepts, prototypes and minimum viable solutions, validating ideas before scaling successful solutions.
  • Continuously optimize AI solutions to maximize business value, usability and adoption.
AI Adoption & Business Enablement
  • Build trusted relationships with business stakeholders and promote the effective adoption of AI capabilities across the organization.
  • Deliver demonstrations, workshops and coaching to improve AI literacy and encourage new ways of working.
  • Develop reusable AI assets, prompts, templates and best practices that accelerate solution delivery and adoption.
  • Contribute to a pipeline of innovative AI use cases that support business growth, productivity and customer outcomes.
  • Ensure AI solutions comply with Thermo Fisher security, privacy, governance and Responsible AI standards while measuring adoption, productivity improvements and business value.
Skills & Experience
  • Have hands-on experience building with AI, including workflows and automations in a real organizational context
  • Highly proficient with Codex, OpenAI or other reputable AI tools, and are always exploring what else is emerging in the market
  • Understanding of structured/unstructured data, APIs, data quality, retrieval/grounding, system integration, and enterprise data sources. Not necessarily data engineering expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities and translate them into practical AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience developing proof of concepts, prototypes, AI workflows, or automation solutions in a business environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to explain AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and support adoption
  • Curiosity for emerging AI technologies, prompt engineering, agentic AI and digital innovation, with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Understanding of Responsible AI, information security, data privacy and governance principles.
