About the Role 
As our AI Architect, you’ll design secure, scalable AI solutions, guide strategy, and work with customers and global teams. You’ll lead exciting projects, influence technology adoption, and help drive innovation at HSO. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement enterprise AI strategies, frameworks, and governance. 
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of AI solutions (migration, modelling, testing, deployment). 
  • Design scalable AI systems and apply responsible AI practices. 
  • Ensure privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Mentor technical teams and foster best practices. 
  • Partner with customers to identify opportunities and enhance solutions. 
  • Deliver workshops and share emerging technologies across teams. 

Requirements

Core Technical & Design Skills 

  • ML/AI deployment (containerisation, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric pipelines, CI/CD) 
  • Data engineering (ETL, data lakes, streaming systems) 
  • Cloud-native architecture (Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, IaC) 
  • MLOps/DataOps (monitoring, retraining, governance) 
  • Model optimization and performance tuning 
  • API design & integration (REST, gRPC, MCP) 
  • ML lifecycle expertise (experimentation to production) 
  • LLMs and GenAI (prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG) 
  • Agentic systems (vector databases, semantic search, multi-agent workflows, memory management) 
  • Responsible AI practices and security-aware design  

People and Business Leadership 

  • Work closely with AI, Data, and Cloud Engineers. 
  • Translate business needs into technical architecture. 
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to cross-functional best practices. 
  • Comfortable in agile environments, working across the AI Engineering lifecycle.  

What We’re Looking For 

  • 6+ years’ experience developing AI solutions, models, and governance frameworks in production. 
  • Broad experience with cloud technologies and applications. 
  • Proven ability to lead projects and teams end-to-end. 
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex architecture to non-technical audiences. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills. 
  • Eagerness to learn and share new technologies. 
  • Deep understanding of ethical, privacy, and security obligations.
