Your New Role (12-month fixed term role) 

As an Advice Consultant in our Guidance and Advice team, you will be a key point of contact for members seeking financial advice services. You will understand each member’s needs, guide them towards the most appropriate advice pathway and make advice options and processes clear and accessible.

You will also support the delivery of advice services by coordinating appointments, managing member leads and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Your contribution will help create smooth member handovers and positive service experiences. 

Key duties include but are not limited to;

  • Engage with members and prospective members by telephone, web chat and written correspondence to understand their financial advice needs.
  • Assess member circumstances and determine the most appropriate advice solution, including internal, external and digital advice services.
  • Explain advice options, services and processes clearly, enabling members to make informed decisions.
  • Coordinate adviser appointments, including bookings, rescheduling, cancellations and adviser allocation.
  • Manage member leads and enquiry queues, ensuring advice requests receive timely follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate records of member interactions, advice requirements, referrals and outcomes.
  • Work with contact centre, complaints, operations and advice teams to resolve enquiries and support positive member outcomes.
  • Contribute to process improvements, service optimisation and the adoption of new technologies and systems. 

What You’ll Need

  • Relevant superannuation industry experience and an RG146 qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts simply.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with a focus on delivering positive member outcomes.
  • The ability to assess different member circumstances and identify an appropriate advice pathway.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to balance competing demands.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accurate records and data integrity.
  • Strong digital literacy and confidence working across multiple systems and technologies.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn new systems, technologies and processes.
