Job Description

What you’ll be doing

The Advertising Specialist plays a key role in helping automotive dealer clients grow their online presence and attract high-quality leads through digital advertising. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end sale, implementation, and ongoing management of digital advertising campaigns for automotive dealer clients. This role serves as the primary point of contact for dealers seeking to grow their online presence and drive qualified traffic through Google Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

In this role, you’ll combine your knowledge of digital advertising platforms with consultative sales skills to deliver measurable results for dealer partners and to grow campaign revenue for the business.

  • Lead the onboarding and setup of new Google and Meta Advertising campaigns from brief through to go-live
  • Configure and launch campaigns across relevant platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Meta, automotive-specific inventory platforms)
  • Ensure campaigns are set up to align with dealer objectives, targeting criteria, and approved budgets
  • Coordinate with creative, technical, and platform teams to ensure timely and accurate campaign delivery
  • QA all campaign elements prior to launch, including ad copy, landing pages, tracking pixels, and feed integrations
  • Monitor live campaigns on a regular basis, analysing performance against agreed KPIs
  • Implement ongoing bid management, keyword optimisation, audience refinement, and creative testing to maximise campaign performance
  • Identify and troubleshoot campaign delivery issues, feed errors, or tracking discrepancies in a timely manner

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in digital campaign management and advertising sales
  • Working knowledge of the Google Ads suite including campaign structure, bidding, and keyword strategy
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a B2B environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and make informed optimisation decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts and campaigns simultaneously
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) and Google Workspace / Microsoft 365
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in the automotive industry (preferred)

We know not everyone will meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If you’re excited about the role and believe you can make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
