This role shall provide an opportunity to work in one of areas such as Valuation and Reporting (Statutory, US GAAP, IFRS17, Solvency II, Local Stat.), Reinsurance, Product Peer Review,
Modeling, Experience Studies, ALM etc. The team is aligned across regions (US, EMEA and Asia) and will provide an exposure to learn / interact with Global and Regional Chief Actuaries.
To ensure delivery of below objectives (exact combination would depend upon role alignment):
Support the actuarial valuation of liabilities on monthly and quarterly basis
Oversee valuation and engage with stakeholders to test, analyze, and quantify impacts variable changes
Responsible for the production & analysis of results across different valuation bases, reporting requirements
Ensuring compliance with the regulation and responsible for audit, regulators request and other related tasks
Provide explanation and analysis of results to leaders including the production of written reports
Perform variance analysis & effectively manage research/resolution/follow-ups for closure of open items and explain results to the Reporting manager
Support in specification and validation of new valuation methodologies and product implementations
Provide support in managing US GAAP valuation and reporting
Develop and support the team in areas such as automation projects
Active involvement in the areas of UAT test and valuations of new products
Key Responsibilities
Key Performance Indicators:
Error free preparation of financial reports within required timelines and relevant actuarial standards;
Work on any ongoing enhancements/developments to improve/simplify/automate the reporting process including use of the new age AI tools
Contributing towards building a culture of collaboration, engagement, and trust while supporting the professional development of team members
Active delegation and execution of work while maintaining strong focus on quality, timeliness, and effective communications
Taking demonstrable ownership of work; clearly flagging any issues and goal delivery concerns to leadership team
Execution of second-line data validation and completeness checks complying to actuarial and audit standards
Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement
Education
Should be a graduate preferably in a numerate stream
Minimum 4 actuarial exams
Experience (In Years) 3-4 years of actuarial experience
Technical Skills
An understanding of actuarial reporting software
OR
Awareness of Solvency II, IFRS, Economic Capital, US GAAP and Embedded Value / Knowledge of reserving, Local Insurance Laws,
regulations would be beneficial
Other Critical Requirements Like Voice/
Non-Voice for Insurance Ops
Strong oral and written communication skills
Respectful of deadlines, discipline and process, yet flexible and pragmatic
