As part of continued growth of our Acoustics team, ERM has a position available for a professional Acoustic Consultant to join our Australian team.
Why This Role Matters
ERM has a client base comprising major Australian and international companies, as well as federal and state government departments. Our projects (in Australia and overseas) include noise and vibration impact assessments, noise modelling, noise and vibration monitoring, development of noise and vibration management plans and regulatory reporting.

You will be part of a growing dynamic international company that clients trust and choose to engage. Our key acoustic projects involve solar farms, wind farms, battery energy storage systems and data centres.
Role Responsibilities:
Assisting project managers or taking on smaller projects as a project manager in planning and delivering acoustic projects;
Calculation, prediction and assessment of noise and vibration associated with transportation, renewables, power, energy and utilities;
Directing and undertaking noise and vibration measurement surveys;
Calculation, prediction, assessment and mitigation of noise and vibration from construction activities;
Providing inputs into elements of project scoping, data management, and reporting;
Building effective working relationships with clients, project teams, disciplines and business units;
Understanding ERM's focus sectors, practices, products and services; and
Assisting project and practice teams to meet business financial targets, overall project budget and schedule, client satisfaction/expectations, and internal and contract requirements
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a consulting environment, with the following;
Tertiary qualifications (or higher) in engineering or science with involvement in the disciplines of noise and vibration;
Experience in noise modelling (CadnaA / SoundPLAN);
Experience with noise and vibration monitoring;
Excel skills including data analysis;
Flexibility to conduct a variety of acoustics assessments and tackle complex problems using innovative solutions;
Good verbal and written communications skills, with attention to detail;
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships;
Strong initiative with the ability to work independently where required;
