The Opportunity
As part of BDA Business Operations team, the Business Analyst will play a key role in leading, managing and coordinating the translation of business requirements into tangible business analysis artefacts and solutions to achieve the desired outcomes. This may be an initiative, major project or minor project. The Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, analysing data, and providing strategic recommendations to improve processes and achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring clarity and understanding of project objectives.
- Work closely with the assigned Project Manager/Lead, to assist project scoping, feasibility studies and benefits realization.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications
- Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements.
- Develop process models, workflows, diagrams, and charts to support system design & to provide directions to the delivery team.
- Support the implementation of new systems and processes, including user training and documentation
- Coordinate user acceptance testing along while supporting change management.
- Manage risks related to requirements and delivery.
Skills & Experience (Required):
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
- Significant experience in business analysis techniques, with the demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and peers to conduct analysis, and rapidly and accurately elicit requirements.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to conceptualise, establish and implement initiatives within a specified framework, including the ability to develop process mapping (as-is & to-be), data and systems documentation in accordance with industry standards.
- Demonstrated experience supporting the successful delivery of high-impact and high-value initiatives that lead to meaningful change and continuous improvement, with a proven ability to use initiative and self-drive to meet demanding deadlines.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to write clear and precise user and technical specifications, showcase presentations and reports.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills that cultivate and maintain productive, collaborative and outcomes-focused working relationships to anticipate and negotiate changes in client expectations and requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Tertiary education in IT or Business Management.
- Skilled in project scoping, planning, and estimation.
- Experience in aerospace, defense or manufacturing industries is beneficial.
Working conditions and travel
- Hybrid work model with 3 days presence in the office.
- Occasional travel to business sites and vendor locations is required.

- The candidate should be an Australian citizen for the requirement to obtain the required security clearance for the role.
