Please note: This is a fixed-term, 12-month maternity leave cover position.
Join our Finance team as an Accounts Payable Analyst, where you'll play a key role in supporting both onshore and offshore Accounts Payable operations. You'll drive process accuracy, governance, and collaboration, working closely with our experienced AP Manager and offshore BPO team to deliver timely and compliant supplier payments.

You'll report directly to our Accounts Payable Manager and work closely with our offshore BPO team, who are your primary day-to-day peers. As part of the wider Finance function - including Accounts Receivable and Payroll, you'll also have team members based across Ballarat and Melbourne. This collaborative, multi-location team values open communication and strong support across functions, and you'll have the chance to build relationships with colleagues both locally and offshore.

What you'll be doing.
- Perform checks and approvals on payment proposals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage the AP AU shared mailbox, responding to internal and external queries.
- Provide backup support for AP Manager functions, including cash flow forecasting.
- Collaborate daily with our offshore BPO team on payment, process, and exception management.
- Act as the escalation point for complex supplier and process queries.
- Assist internal users with document approvals and AP systems.
- Troubleshoot and allocate invoices in the Invoice Management System.
- Prepare, review, and action AP reports; prepare credit applications and maintain governance standards.
What you'll need to be successful.
- 2+ years' experience in Accounts Payable.
- Experience with any Invoice Management System (SAP preferred).
- Proficiency in AP systems and Excel.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to learn quickly.
- Experience collaborating with offshore teams (meetings, emails, calls).
- Understanding of governance, controls, and compliance in AP.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Willingness to both learn from and support an experienced AP Manager.
