Responsibilities:
- Regularly review and maintain the accuracy of general ledger accounts, guaranteeing precise allocation of financial data and the highest level of financial statement accuracy.
- Monitor funding requirements of each payment service provider and crypto exchange to ensure sufficient funding and facilitate where needed.
- Ensure compliance with financial obligations for our support entity located in Bulgaria.
- Assist with month-end accounting activities, including accruals and provisions and preparation of journal entries to reflect the company's financial position accurately, and preparation of taxation returns.
- Assist the Payroll Officer and act as a backup in processing payroll, reconciling associated payroll accounts such as salary and wages, superannuation, and annual leave monthly.
- Handle treasury duties, including cash management and risk assessment, to optimise Eightcap's financial position and ensure client money liabilities are sufficiently covered in the client trust account.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Accountants to foster professional growth and ensure a collaborative and skilled finance team.
- Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager, offering support for ad-hoc tasks and contributing to a diverse range of accounting projects, including the annual audit, and ERP implementation, and budgetary processes.
About you?
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Financial services experience and around 3 years of accounting experience.
- An understanding of written and verbal Bulgarian.
- Excellent organisation skills & great attention to detail.
- Excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and familiarity with relevant computer software.
- Values and respects diversity.
- Ability to work with individuals from multicultural backgrounds.
- Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot day-to-day issues.
- Experience with NetSuite or other similar ERP software.
- Knowledge of Bulgarian local tax and regulatory environment.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritise multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
