The Opportunity
We are seeking an Accountant to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. In this national role, you will be involved in the planning, organisation, and coordination of financial and accounting activities across our centralised group services functions.
Your previous experience in accounting for centralised group services and cost allocation will be leveraged to regularly engage and consult with our core business unit and group function managers across Australia and New Zealand.
You will also be driven to improve operational processes, provide precise data to our projects, support the recovery of costs from customers and enjoy communicating with a variety of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate accurate and timely cost allocation across our major construction projects
Partner with Acciona’ s central payroll function to provide precise accounting for payroll expenses for a workforce of over 2,000 employees
Support of annual audit processes
Perform balance sheet reconciliations for our operational business units
Participate in and drive the continued improvement of internal processes
Support the Senior Accountants and Managers in the team.

Required Skills and Competencies
Experienced in cost accounting for central services within multi-entity organisations and knowledgeable in payroll accounting systems would be highly desirable.
Proficient in business information systems with the ability to manage and manipulate data flows for accurate and timely accounting outcomes.
Skilled in project management, confidently coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to meet business objectives.
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, including Power Pivot and Power Query, with strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite and excellent communication skills.
