Job Purpose

The Account Manager - APAC, located in Melbourne, will take ownership of managing a portfolio of existing accounts in Australia. Your focus will be on retaining clients, driving growth, and securing renewals by building strong relationships and aligning Equiem’s solutions with their business goals. This strategic and commercially focused role requires you to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, ensure client satisfaction, and develop tailored account strategies that deliver value to both clients and Equiem.

Where Time is Spent

Client Retention & Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Proactively address client needs, resolve issues, and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop strategies to secure long-term client retention.

Revenue Growth & Renewals

  • Drive account growth through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Manage timely contract renewals, identifying opportunities to expand service scopes.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to maximize revenue opportunities.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Create and implement tailored account plans aligned with client goals.
  • Monitor account performance and provide regular updates to senior leadership on health, growth, and renewal status.

Relationship with the Business

  • You’ll work closely with the Regional Director of Customer in APAC, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure seamless service delivery and execution of client strategies.
  • This role is key to aligning Equiem’s solutions with client needs, driving business growth, and enhancing satisfaction.

Client Retention & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact, fostering trust and satisfaction through regular engagement.
  • Manage a portfolio of high-value clients, ensuring their goals are met with Equiem’s offerings.

Revenue Growth & Renewals

  • Identify and pursue upsell/cross-sell opportunities within your accounts.
  • Oversee contract renewals, negotiating terms to maximize retention and value.

Strategic Account Management

  • Develop account plans tailored to individual client objectives.
  • Monitor account health and adjust strategies to meet evolving needs.
  • Provide feedback to shape service evolution based on client insights and market trends.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Teamwork

  • Partner with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and address complex challenges.
  • Share insights with leadership on account status, opportunities, and risks.

Performance Measures

Success in this role will be evaluated by:

  • Client retention and satisfaction (e.g., NPS, CSAT).
  • Achievement of revenue growth and upsell/cross-sell targets.
  • Timely contract renewals.
  • Effective execution of strategic account plans.
  • Performance against KPIs, including account health and engagement.
Requirements
  • Essential:
    • 3-5+ years in account management or client success, managing large, high-value portfolios.
    • Proven track record in driving growth, renewals, upselling, and cross-selling.
    • Strong relationship management skills with senior-level stakeholders.
    • Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for complex relationships.

      Desirable:
    • Experience in a SaaS or tech-driven environment.
    • Sales or business development background.
    • Familiarity with CRM tools and account management systems.
    • Knowledge of APAC market trends and client dynamics.

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
