Job Description

We’re seeking an Academic Student Support Officer to assist students in developing their academic skills, improving communication, and understanding academic integrity. You’ll work closely with Course Coordinators and teaching staff to identify student needs, deliver workshops, and process Academic Misconduct cases in line with AE policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver workshops on academic skills and integrity.
  • Support students referred by Course Coordinators through learning plans and progress monitoring.
  • Process Academic Misconduct cases following AE policy.
  • Collaborate with staff to enhance student academic outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and report on student support activities.
  • Refer students to appropriate internal services when needed.

Qualifications

About You

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise.
  • Confident using technology and learning platforms.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience supporting students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Master’s degree in TESOL, Education or a related field.

Desirable

  • Experience in academic support or tertiary teaching.
  • Understanding of academic integrity principles and student learning needs.
