About The Role

Our Corporate Finance team is one of Australia’s leading turnaround, restructuring and insolvency practices, with a market-leading track record delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients and their key stakeholders. We work with corporates, financiers and other key stakeholders with a highly commercial mindset to deliver results. 

What You’ll Do

As a Restructuring & Insolvency Graduate, you will focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. Your responsibilities are likely to involve:

  • Helping with trading on a business that is for example under Administration, tasks may include processing banking transactions, managing employees and reporting to creditors

  • Helping with running a process for the sale of a companies business and/or its assets

  • Helping with the preparation of and attending creditors meetings

  • Assisting with conducting investigations into the demise of companies and compiling reports to ASIC and creditors as to the affairs of companies

  • Liaising with stakeholders including regulatory bodies, suppliers, customers and lenders

  • Financial modelling to be used in reports such as financial due diligence and business reviews

  • Working to optimise working capital to release additional cash in companies

  • Assisting in business transformation strategies of the client including business process and reporting improvements

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Accounting degree or Finance degree with accounting subjects and an interest in obtaining a CA qualification

  • Soft skills, such as empathy and respect: the ability to understand and recognise clients’ needs and work well with our people

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills

  • Good lateral thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Some work or internship experience

  • This role will require travel to client and FTI offices

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia

Compensation
Annual Pay: $77,000.00
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role and is inclusive of Superannuation. Determination of actual salary is based on a combination of relevant factors such as market considerations, business needs, and an individual’s location, skills, level of experience and qualifications.
