Teams at Xero

Lead the technical direction of Xero’s front-end platform across multiple engineering teams. Guide React and TypeScript standards, shared tooling, CI/CD improvements, performance, accessibility, developer experience, and legacy modernization. Influence technical roadmaps, design scalable and secure systems, collaborate across engineering, product, and design, and coach engineers. The role combines hands-on front-end engineering with strategic platform leadership and requires experience with automated testing, TDD, distributed architectures, and AI-assisted development.

Lead delivery of customer-focused full-stack software using React, Redux, C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server. Refactor monolithic WebForms systems into distributed architectures on AWS, develop AI-assisted workflows and production AI tools, and contribute to CI/CD, testing, system reliability, incident response, and on-call support. Drive cross-team initiatives, influence engineering direction, mentor colleagues, and build SDKs or internal libraries where needed.

Lead the technical vision, security, CI/CD, data governance, monitoring, release engineering, and AI operations strategy for Xero’s enterprise Salesforce platform. The role combines hands-on Salesforce development with architecture, platform reliability, compliance, automation, and engineering enablement. Responsibilities include coaching engineers, modernizing deployment pipelines, managing platform risk and limits, overseeing D360 integrations, and establishing standards for Agentforce and AI operations.
